Pastoral Care

Pastoral Care

We endeavor, in a variety of ways, to facilitate the sharing of the love and concern of our parish family for each other, with those who visit with us, as well as those of our family that aren’t able to be present with us. We also share our caring with our community in many locations and personal needs.

The photo of Old Order Mennonite bonnets and hats hanging on the pegs in the hallway of Emmanuel Episcopal Church reminds us of our place in our community and the call for care

We try to be aware of the needs and concerns of our immediate family as well as their concerns outside of our family through active prayer lists, cards, visitations, phone calls, meal preparation, transportation for appointments, run errands, organize care, and remembrances at special times of the church year.

Our prayer lists reflect parish members and their close friends and family. We attempt to keep the lists current, (reviewed on a 30-day cycle) and available for all to access. Our spoken prayer lists reflect those in needy/critical situations, while we also  remember those others, in an unspoken listing, who are not as able to be present that we miss seeing on a regular basis.

If you have pastoral concerns, please contact the church office (540) 434-2357, or any of the clergy (The Rev, Daniel Robayo, our rector, The Rev. Sara Ardrey-Graves, our associate rector, or The Rev. Ed Bachschmid, our deacon).
