The Reverend Daniel Robayo is our Rector.  The Rector serves as the spiritual head of the parish and oversees the worship life of Emmanuel while serving as a pastor, priest and teacher.  Daniel has served his entire ordained ministry here in the Diocese of Virginia, as rector and associate rector in various parishes, and as a Spanish missioner in northern Virginia.  He earned his M.Div. from Virginia Theological Seminary in 1987, and was ordained a priest in 1988.  Daniel and his family have lived here in the Valley for the last ten years.

The Reverend Deacon Ed Bachschmid is our Deacon.  The Deacon is called to serve in a special ministry of servanthood directly under our bishop, assisting in the administration of the sacraments and reaching out to those in our community and beyond who are in need.  In addition, Ed leads worship services at the VMRC, Sunnyside, and Bridgewater retirement communities.  Ed has served Emmanuel for six years, coming to us most recently from the Diocese of New Mexico.  He and his wife Judy have two adult children.   Click on this link to see a photo from the July 2012 ordination of Bishop Susan Goff at St. Paul's Richmond, and note Deacon Ed standing behind the Presiding Bishop Jefferts Schori. http://www.flickr.com/photos/episcopaldioceseofvirginia/7678700366/sizes/h/in/set-72157630825514480/
