Weekly Events
Nursery
The nursery serves our youngest friends, ages 0-5! Every other week, we meet in the Sunday School classroom during the 10:30 service to learn about God through play, art, and music. On the other weeks, children ages 0-5 are still welcome to join our lovely nursery staff downstairs for any or all of service to get some wiggles out.
Individuals 14 years or older are invited to serve in the nursery. Please email youth@emmanuelharrisonburg.org if you are interested in serving in the nursery.
Sunday School
Sunday School for children and youth is offered weekly (unless otherwise noted) from 9:15 am to 10:15 am in the classroom attached to the nursery downstairs. Each Sunday School meeting will include prayer, a lesson, a craft and/or service project, and, of course, snacks!
Youth Group
In addition to Sunday school, Youth Group is a set-aside time for children and youth to simply have fun and spend time together, and there are always snacks! Please email youth@emmanuelharrisonburg.org to join the email list to stay up to date with youth group meetings!
Ways to Participate in the Service
Youth ages 8 years and older are encouraged to be acolytes! Click here for more information! High schoolers are also encouraged to join choir. Click here for more information! If you see any role in church that interests you, let a staff member know, so we can get you connected!
Shrine Mont
Shrine Mont Camps
Emmanuel Episcopal Church is blessed to have access to Shrine Mont, an amazing 1,000-acre retreat, camp, and conference center in Orkney Springs, VA. Over the course of June, July, and August, Shrine Mont Camps offers a variety of camps for all ages. The dates for the 2025 camp season are now on the Shrine Mont website! Parish Retreat to Shrine Mont
Emmanuel Episcopal Church's annual parish retreat is held at Shrine Mont each August. The 2024 Parish Retreat was held on August 23rd-25th. Keep checking back throughout the spring and summer to see when the 2025 Parish Retreat will be!
