Emmanuel’s “Babies First” Program is an extension of our current Corner Cupboard Food Pantry. The Food Pantry has been a mainstay of Emmanuel for over 25 years and has seen tremendous growth. The creation of a self-choice food pantry has encouraged families with infants and toddlers to visit the Corner Cupboard for their young family needs. “Babies First” was created to assist in providing infant care items such diapers, formula, and food. The program has grown since April 2020, from five families per month to over 50 families and 2,500 diapers per month. The cost of infant care continues to skyrocket. It is our hope that the “Babies First” program can help ease the burden of those costs.
